What we do
What'SUP? Scotland began by supporting mental wellbeing through paddlesport, and has grown into a person‑centred training provider offering First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and Outdoor First Aid across Scotland. Our focus remains the same: creating safe, supportive learning spaces where people can build confidence and feel equipped to help others.
Our Approach to Wellbeing
Although our work now focuses on First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and Outdoor First Aid, the heart of What’SUP? Scotland hasn’t changed. Everything we deliver is still shaped by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing — simple, powerful principles that help people feel grounded, connected and confident.
Connect Learn alongside others, share experiences and build supportive relationships.
Be Active Engage in practical, hands‑on learning that builds confidence and capability.
Take Notice Be present, pay attention to your environment and notice what’s happening within and around you.
Keep Learning Grow your skills, knowledge and confidence in a calm, supportive space.
Give Use what you’ve learned to support others and make a positive difference in your community.
These values sit at the centre of every course we deliver.

Freelance & Partnership working
Both Mo & Noush are available to freelance for outdoor projects, providing their knowledge and experience. With a strong commitment to quality, reliability, and safety, we're here to help.
Whether you're needing a course delivered to your staff or participants, or an extra pair of hands on your own course, We’re always happy to adapt our courses to suit the needs of your organisation, team or community group.
Whether you’re looking to book one of the courses listed or explore other training we offer, we can adjust delivery, timings and format to make learning accessible and comfortable for everyone.
We’re flexible with dates, locations and group sizes, and we’ll work with you to create a course plan that fits your setting — indoors, outdoors, evenings, split sessions, or whatever helps your people get the most from the training.

Testimonials
"It was great to have you as part of the team this last fortnight, thanks for all your effort and equipment to make the course a success, John and the team were very complimentary about how flexible, professional, and how much they enjoyed working with you. This comes as no surprise to me." (July, 2024)
"We’d like to thank Noush and Mo for sharing their expertise and experience with the participants and to What’SUP? Scotland for helping us offer this at an affordable cost." (June, 2024).
"The first aid was brilliant, the ladies are such good trainers and genuinely that's the best First Aid course I have done and I have done then regularly since 2002! I absolutely feel like I took more away from the last 2 days than I have from any of the previous ones I have done. It was so good because it was continual assessment and there was no death by power point or death by constantly doing the same bandages or moves over and over again. We spoke about them in detail, had a demonstration, practiced it then spoke about it some more and were given plenty of feedback along the way. Normally I feel really uncomfortable in those types of training situations, but I didn't feel like that at all for all 2 days!" (September, 2024)
"Our instructors were exceptional – thank you to What’s SUP Scotland (co-owned by fabulous freelancer Mo and partner Noush) and to all my Venture Trust colleagues [names redacted for privacy purposes], who made the 16 hours feel much less onerous (and dull) than it could have been." (September, 2024)
